Appointed as Executive Director in 2008, he leads all of MiHR’s strategic activities and represents the Council on various industry and government committees and advisory panels. Ryan is a past recipient of the Canadian Institute of Mining – Young Leadership Award and the International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill award. He is a regular speaker and panelist at industry conferences and events and was a past Distinguished Lecturer for the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM). Carol Danielson is the Chair of the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC). She was appointed to TNDC’s Board of Directors in February 2021 and assumed the Vice Chair/Acting Chair role in April 2021. She is passionate about community service, and working with people, families, and youth. She was born and raised in Tahltan/Kaska Territory and lived, worked, and raised her family in Dease Lake for more than 20 years. Carol’s Tahltan name is Ishkadi DisTs’ eze. She is from the Dekama family, with the Crow clan. Angela Hamlyn , CEO of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), is an ardent advocate of cross-functional and multidisciplinary collaboration as a means to advance innovation and sustainability within the mining industry. A strong proponent of the power of people and partnerships, Angela fosters a collaborative environment in which CIM can develop solutions to problems the industry is facing. Angela has worked at CIM for upwards of 15 years, and through this experience has become skilled in strategic planning, corporate relations, not-for-profit management, corporate governance, mentorship, corporate social responsibility, and coaching. Robert Higdon leads the Product and Marketing teams at Fatigue Science, where he has helped pioneer the emerging best practice of “Predictive Fatigue Management” in the mining industry. Robert’s background is in strategic management consulting, and Software-as-a-Service technology product development. He holds a degree in economics from Dartmouth College. Richard Hoy is the President of Specialist Tax Consultancy Catax Canada. With over 30 years of experience in leadership positions at Xerox and Ledcor, Richard now spends his time consulting with clients on how to improve their research and development, including how to claim innovation tax incentives. Catax has helped over 14,000 clients across the world in their R&D efforts. Raffi Jabrayan is the Vice President, Commercial Sales, and Business Development for Exyn Technologies. He oversees the expansion of the business internationally in the mining and construction sectors, and other industries. A large part of his role at Exyn is to help miners leverage the data produced by Exyn’s autonomous aerial robots to streamline underground inspections, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce risk. Isabelle Leblanc , Since joining BBA in 2007, Isabelle Leblanc has been involved in numerous studies for lithium, gold and silver, copper, and iron projects as a Qualified Person for Mineral Reserve Estimation. In addition to her technical expertise, Isabelle held team management roles in the Mining and Metals team for over 10 years before being appointed Vice-President, Mining and Metals Market in 2022. Chris McNeil has been appointed as Chairperson of the Board for the Nisga’a Growth Corporation. The Nisga’a Growth Corporation is owned by the Nisga’a Nation and operates all commercial interests on behalf of the Nisga’a Lisims Government. William Meyer is the Director, Marketing and Communications, for the Mining Industry Human Resources Council. He is responsible for planning and providing strategic direction to effectively promote and build awareness of MiHR and its programs, projects and services. William has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit, association and government sectors, and has served as the head of communications for two industry associations. Vikramaditya Yadav is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Director of the Master of Engineering Leadership in Sustainable Process Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and Chief Executive Officer of Tersa Earth Innovations, Inc.
