Based in Ottawa, MAC is the national organization for the Canadian mining industry. Its members are engaged in mineral exploration, mining, smelting, refining and semi-fabrication. Prior to his appointment to MAC, Pierre was President and CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC). Catherine Adair, Manager, Community Development, Teck Resources Limited, is responsible for Teck’s Community Investment portfolio that supports local, national and global initiatives that advance community development programs focused on social, health and economic improvements. Catherine has worked at Teck for over 13 years in corporate and site-based roles, and prior to Teck worked in local government and journalism. She holds an EMBA and BA in History and Political Science. Suzanne Davis-Hall is Founder and Principal of Genesg, a niche ESG and sustainability consulting firm. She began her career as an Exploration Geochemist in West Africa. Dr. Diane Garrett , President and CEO of Hycroft Mining, has over 25 years of senior executive management experience in the mining industry and an exceptional track record for developing projects, building companies, and delivering shareholder value. At Romarco Minerals, she built and led the team that developed the multi-million-ounce Haile Gold mine from discovery through to construction and grew the company from $20 million market cap to $1.3 billion. Al Shpyth is the Executive Director of the IMII, the minerals supporting network for Saskatchewan’s minerals industry. Al has more than 30 years of experience in the minerals industry as a consultant in government and industry associations. Randy Smallwood was involved in the founding of Wheaton Precious Metals and is currently the company’s President & CEO and a director. Before being appointed President in January 2010 and then CEO in April 2011, he served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, primarily focused on growing the company through the evaluation and acquisition of streaming opportunities. In addition, he is the former Chair of the World Gold Council (2020-2023). Theo Yameogo graduated in geology and mining engineering, and spent many years working in mining operations, engineering consulting, and business consulting.
